The second place went to Soft Christmas designed by Kaarina Toivanen. It illustrates a smiling boy gnome surrounded by balls of yarn and plush toys.

Natural themes proved to be popular yet again. With a nearly equal number of votes, the third and fourth place was shared by Bunch of Tulips designed by stamp artist Leena Airikkala (1,715 votes) and the spring-summer forest stamp (1,708 votes) designed by graphic designer Klaus Welp as part of Europa stamps for the Association of European Public Postal Operators (PostEurop).

The other of the two Europa stamps with a forest theme designed by Welp came in fifth (1,417 votes). The views on the forest stamps represent Lake Mustalampi in Nuuksio National Park.
